Dr Vishnuvardhana elder brother Ravikumar a stage actor and director passed away on Wednesday afternoon. He was suffering from cancer. Unfortunately Ravikumar noticed the cancer decease in him a month back that was at the fourth stage and he decided to fight it out with minimum of medicine.

Aged around 70 years Ravikumar was employee of Indian Telephone Industries for over three decades and he was attached to ITI Lalitha Kala Sangha. Ravikumar directed many plays and acted in a few. ‘Hayavadana’ was popular play he directed on stage.

For Dr Vishnuvardhana he was a critic for long years in the professional career and never showed interest in acting in films. Vishnuvardhan had one elder brother and four sisters. N.Ravikumar - Brother, Smt. Indrani, Jayashree, Rama and Poornima are sisters.

The end came for Ravikumar in the afternoon but before that he was in coma in the morning. At Banashakeri Crematorium very near to his residence he was cremated. He leaves behind his wife Lakshmi, son Abikshit and daughter Kshama.

Directing plays and giving useful tips to young actors Ravi Kumar traced Anirudh Jathakara. Anirudh later became son in law of Dr Vishnuvardhana marrying Keerthivardhana.

Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana visited the house of Ravikumar and consoled the family members.
